How to choose the right solution
Dry dust, mud, water and process substances create different demands in industrial areas. Compare each model’s application, surface construction and installation. The word “industrial” alone does not specify chemical resistance or permitted traffic.

Start by describing the working area
Before selecting a system, explain where dirt comes from and what will walk or travel across the mat. A staff entrance, a passage between production halls and a delivery doorway may need different solutions. Consider seasonal changes: dry dust in summer and water or mud in autumn. Information about the working environment helps narrow down materials and construction.
Pedestrians, wheels and loads
A product suitable for footwear is not automatically suitable for a transport trolley. For wheeled traffic, specify the loaded weight, number and spacing of wheels, and wheel diameter. Turning, braking and journey frequency matter too. Assess workstation-mat functions separately when equipping a work area; an entrance mat primarily belongs to the cleaning zone.
Installation and servicing in an operating building
Plan placement so that cleaning does not require prolonged closure of the main route. With recesses, allow for removing sediment; with surface-laid mats, consider edge height and transitions between surfaces.
